Hi Everyone,

We got a call a few nights ago from someone who claimed to be from our bank. They proceeded to tell us that our client card has been compromised. They knew exactly which bank we used, our phone number and asked for my husband by name. The call came up as anonymous, which right away made us suspicious. He started to ask my husband questions like if we had a visa card.. Immediately we told the caller that we were not comfortable providing any information over the phone. He then told us to call the number on the back of our card or go into the branch to get this resolved.

We then called the bank and quickly our suspicions were confirmed. Our bank assured us that if they had called us they would not have asked us any questions. They would have informed us that our card was compromised and to call them back at the number on the back of our card. They also confirmed that none of our cards have been compromised.

What concerns us is that this person had our name, bank (although this could have been a lucky guess) and phone number. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Sorry, but I would prefer not to say which bank.
