I don't think what he's asking to do is illegal. What law would it be breaking? He's not copying any games or such.

I don't think I am wrong....

but the problem would be your TV not the PS2. I believe the PS2 play PS2 PAL games.. But then PS2 outputs PAL not NTSC

If you have access to a PAL TV you should try it.

I also think there are converters around as well... like a PAL / NTSC VCR

I'm not sure if the PS2 modchips are the same as the xbox modchips, but if they are, the modchip itself also does conversions for you. i.e. if I stick a PAL dvd in my modded-xbox, it will auto-convert it into NTSC for my tv without any additional convertors needed in between.

The chinese plaza at Dixie and Eastgate has a store that does them. I haven't done it, I'm a modded Xbox person myself, but I have seen the store.
