I commute to Waterloo. I've been doing it from Mississauga for ~6 years, and for about the last 9 months since I moved to Milton, I've been doing it from here. No traffic to worry about really, but sometimes you hit a slow down on Hwy 8 North. On really bad days, there's about a 10 minutes delay there around 9am, but mostly it's fine. Coming back, Hwy 8 is as bad around 5:30pm.
When the season changes (winter -> spring, fall -> winter), there are accidents, which are usually pretty bad. And of course, there are winter storms to think about as well, dealing with trucks. It takes some getting used to, and don't do it without winter tires.
Takes on average about 45-50 minutes from home (Thompson/Yates) to RIM (centre of Waterloo).
