There is a house on Cartwright which has 2 full size trucks, during the winter one parks on the drive way and the other always parks across the grass between street & sidewalk. Its hilarious to see how ugly their lawn is due to that. Guess some people really love their trucks. |

It is against the by-law to park on the boulevard but the town has not, nor do they seem to have any expressed interest, in enforcing it. |

I said this in the other parking thread. Milton only enforces if there is a complaint, or the area is shown to have frequent repeat issues. By-Law is roughly By-Complaint-Law |

And the problem there is? If the cars are parked illegally they are taking that risk. If you are street parked, and not illegally parked, they will chalk you first, and come back 3 hours later. |

Actually, there is a lophole in the bylaw that makes bulevard parking legal. That was not the intention of the bylaw so I believe the council is looking for alternatives as the backlash for straight out banning it would be too big. And it is also a matter of fairness, does it also apply to the side without sidewalk? Why should only that side benefit. I believe they are looking at banning it a certain meters from the intersection as it block the view of traffic for the car entereing an intersection from a stop sign. |
