| Post subject: | Milton Water Infrastructure |
Hello All! First post here! WOO HOO! I'm thinking about purchasing a home in Hawthorne Village but have a few questions some of you who already live there may be able to answer. First of all, what's the deal with the sump pump by-law? Is the drainage that poor in Milton that this is required? I've already looked at the town of milton website and have read that there are storm sewers...so why the sump pumps? Also, it is my understanding that the sump pumps are a last line of defense against flooding and if your grading is done properly and the weeping tile is doing what is should, the pumps should rarely ever come on. Secondly, how good is the water infrastructure in general? How's are the sewers, water quality etc? These are my only questions so far. But as I come closer to making a decision on purchasing I'm sure I will think of more! Thanks in advance!! |
