Post subject:  No drug insurance?

If you or someone you know is paying out of pocket for prescription medications? Before you (or they) sign up for an expensive private plan through Manulife, etc. know this:

The Ontario Government offers the "Trillium Drug Program". Key features include:

- EVERY Ontarian with a valid health card is eligible
- Coverage includes all members of your household (nuclear family)
- You CANNOT be denied coverage
- There IS a deductible of roughly 4% of combined (household) NET income. This is divided into quarterly payments. Eligible prescriptions are just $2 after that.
- The vast majority of drugs are covered (the same plan as for seniors)
- Diabetic testing strips are covered
- Does NOT cover dental, physio, chiro, or anything like that

Visit: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/english/pub ... llium.html

or ask one of our pharmacists. We would be happy to help.

Regards,

Faisal
