If you or someone you know is paying out of pocket for prescription medications? Before you (or they) sign up for an expensive private plan through Manulife, etc. know this: The Ontario Government offers the "Trillium Drug Program". Key features include: - EVERY Ontarian with a valid health card is eligible - Coverage includes all members of your household (nuclear family) - You CANNOT be denied coverage - There IS a deductible of roughly 4% of combined (household) NET income. This is divided into quarterly payments. Eligible prescriptions are just $2 after that. - The vast majority of drugs are covered (the same plan as for seniors) - Diabetic testing strips are covered - Does NOT cover dental, physio, chiro, or anything like that Visit: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/english/pub ... llium.html or ask one of our pharmacists. We would be happy to help. Regards, Faisal |
