I know it doesn't really matter...but I don't think I like this. The plans look well done but I just really loved that the area was so undeveloped and that tremaine was like a country road. The area is SO quiet right now, how much noise do you think having main street so much closer and bigger will bring?
Whats the timeframe for completion?
Thanks for all the info.
Tremaine is under construction already and Main is starting later this month. The area between the old main and new Main is slated to be a District Park (soccer fields, baseball diamonds etc). Tremaine needs to finish by March of 2011 to get the Federal Stimulus money.
Tremaine can't stay a rural road. The Province plans to put a 401 / Tremaine ramp and Halton is pushing for a 2013 date for that. With the education village west of Tremaine and, frankly, all of us moving into the area, we need a way to get out. Derry is fairly packed as it is. Milton is bringing Loius St Laurant to Tremaine by hopefully next year and the region will expand Britannia a couple of years after that. With east-west covered, we'll need a way to zoom north or south without clogging up these east-west roads. That's where Tremaine comes in.
The good news is that the region plans to keep Tremaine "pretty" (for lack of better word). It will be a major gateway for Milton and hence, is designed with higher standards.
Let me know if you have any questions. I've been giving feedback on local projects and am familiar with plans and timelines.

When you say 2013 do you mean the tremaine Ramp to the 401 will be completed by 2013? Or construction starts in 2013?
