I was just out at the site yesterday and they're still working like crazy even with the weather... lots of the houses on the north side of the road on the north bend are almost fully framed in, and now they're working on framing the houses on the south side of the road on the north bend. They were pouring foundations on the south side of the south bend as well last night.

I wouldn't be surprised if the first framewalks are being called soon for the north/north houses.

I'm not promising, but there's a chance we'll drop by this weekend, although they are working non stop on the street so pictures are a bit trickier... just in case, what lot # are you RJ?

Had to go check the site plan (and in fact, I'm putting the link here in case we need to refer to it again):

I'm lot 39, so just a few houses away from you, RJ. IIRC, your house is already on the second floor, and it's either your house or next door to yours that they were working on the roof last night.

Lol, I had to search the board to find the link... I just posted it so I wouldn't have to search again :)

Based on how far along your house is, you'll probably be there before we will, our closing date is May 1st, when are you guys closing?

I am lot 36 and I haven't got any delay notification. I even emailed Mattamy and they say there's no delay for my lot.

Somebody said in this thread that lot 36 on Potts Terrace will be delayed. If you have more info, please let me know.

Andrei

I made a mistake, my parents are lot 35, they got a delay notice last week. They are pushed from April into May. Mattamy year end is in May and from what I hear, they want everything to close before yaer end that is supposed to.

Ok, just zipped by this morning, the site was BUSY and MUDDY... so I didn't get out of the car today, and since they were pouring more foundations on the south side of the road, I only took a few pictures and then skidaddled.... that said...

Lot 18 for RJ...

I had a call from Paola yesterday, informally informing me of a 15 day delay. We are lot 13, originally scheduled to close May 14th.

I'd recommmend giving her a call if you're concerned about your closing date.

Cheers,
Hunter

Just dropped by this afternoon (just a drive-through only, wasn't planning on it but went with my sister to the Jeep dealer across the road while she did some car shopping).

RJ - Not much has changed on the outside of your house other than they are half done shingling your roof, and were working on that today.

Also, it looks like all the foundations on the south side of the south side of the road are now done, and they are digging the ground on the north side of the south side of the road (I need better terms for these updates =p) so it looks like the next week or so should see the last of the foundations done on Potts.

Michelle - We're lot 39, closing May 1st. Having lived with my parents between houses last time, I'm determined not to do that again, so I'm shooting for a May 24 closing with this house. The house goes up for sale tomorrow, and they're coming in ... 20 minutes now to take the pictures, so fingers crossed it'll go well.

Finally, I'll be going again this weekend so if anyone that lives far away wants some pictures of their lot, just let me know what lot # and I'll snap some.

Steve.

Does anyone have Paola's number handy? I've lost it somewhere... or at least packed it up somewhere while getting the old house ready to sell.

Just popped out there, but I'm not at home so I won't be able to upload pictures until tomorrow morning. Nothing new really with your house, RJ.

Kumuthan - it turns out you guys are right across the street from us. They are bricking your house at the moment, which means it is almost entirely covered by tarps and scaffolds. I tried to take a few pictures, I'm not sure if you'll be able to see anything or not. I'll be going back next weekend with the guy doing our custom kitchen, so if the tarps are down I'll get you more/better pictures then.

Steve.

I didn't realize how close we are until I saw our house from your window, Michelle... that's ours with the port-a-john out front.

You definately got better pictures than I did this time around so I won't bother posting this week's... I'll get some next week.

Michelle, don't be jealous. I just asked Mattamy if I could have a porta-john and they included it for free. Maybe they still have some and you can get one too :) I'm going to make it the centerpiece of my landscaping, the way some people use rocks :)

Kumuthan - I need to be there for an appointment around 10am in the morning Saturday, not sure how long it will take (probably not more than half an hour or so), but if we don't cross paths this weekend, well, it's less than 8 weeks until we're living there :)

K - I'll be at work in Mississauga by then, but congratulations! Have fun on the frame walk!

Oh, and a porta-john is that big blue box in front of our house, it's a portable toilet for construction workers to use since there aren't any other washrooms handy.... it'll be gone when the construction workers are :)

Yes, it's safe to go in the house, if guys happen to be working there they're super friendly... also, in about two weeks, give or take some weather, they are halfway down the street with bricking, so I would guess you'd get your framewalk in the next week or two tops.

Congrats on the gold!

And yes, I did get ahold of her, and she didn't think there would be any delays at this point in time, but with the whacky weather we're having it's not a 100% ruled out possibility at this point.
