The meeting that you missed last night is your first appointment. The one on the 29th is your second appointment when you must chose and pay for your upgrades. Have you rescheduled the appointment you missed last night? They said to try and not change your meetings, because they are more or less booked solid until next year.

I know it is a difficult decision, but here is my theory.
If we get the archway, and open up the kitchen. We can put a table and chairs towards the sliding door. We then thought about buying a mobile island/chopping block cart to put in the kitchen, and we can move it out of the way if need be. By having the table in the kitchen we no longer have the need for a table in the living/dining room so we can leave it as one huge open room, and make it look so much bigger than when everything is closed off.
These are just my two cents!

PS. Our orientation was supposed to be tomorrow the 16th, but we could not make that so they changed us to the 14th. That's strange that they said there was only one, because there must be an open slot tomorrow, as we switched out of it.

Hello all, I was out at the site today as well. Nothing happening on Johnson Heights, but looks like some foundation excavations against thompson rd, south of hepburn. Looks like blocks 227, 228, and 229, are the ones dug up. Also starting to put up hydro poles, and street lights, so they are starting to get stuff done.

Hey all, I talked to George at the City today, and he faxed me the plans for our block 240.
From what it shows, the sidwalk is on our side of the road :(
But we don't have any of the utility boxes in front of our house.
If I am reading this correctly, they are against the road in between lots 240-4 and 240-5. There will be a lamp post, a cable box, and a bell box, all located there.

The fire hydrant is in between blocks 240 and 241 it looks like.

I believe it shows our back yard as being just over 23 feet deep, and the drive way just over 18 feet to the sidewalk.

Ours shows as the mirror image to the plans from Mattamy, so our drive way is on the left hand side when facing the house.

Well, I gotta run TTYL!

23 feet for the backyard? Is that standard for all towns?? Any comments from townhouse owners who are moved in?

I think that is standard for the towns. It is either 23' or 25'. I know that my semi is supposed to be 28' and my lot is bigger than the townhouse lots. The only way to get more space in Milton is to pay lots more money for an older home or for a bigger new home.

Hey all, I was out for a quick look today, and from what I could see, your block, 238, had the second level floors down and had started putting up the walls on the second floor. I'll go back tomorrow or Saturday and take some pics for you and post them.

We close August second, so I guess you guys will have had enough time to un-pack, and can help us move.... :)

We'll have some tasty beer to bribe you with!!

lol

TTYL

Hello George and Marcy, Kelly and Allison, Mona and Kevin.

Thanks for the welcome. We were at the site on sunday and got to walk into the first floor. Pretty cool, yeah there better not be any delays, I think we have all waited long enough

238 block is comming up. Other blocks have just basements at this point, but can't be far behind.

Kelly and Allison I noticed you got an amesbury too. Wondering if you did the alternate kitchen layout with the island? We did. Just hope we can fit everything else in too. Should be fine though.

Anyone know much about the sump pumps? I am reading some mixed views in this forum.

Anyway 2 months 3 weeks and I can finally open the barbecue someone got us for our wedding. Its been in a box for 3 years as we currently have no balcony to put it on :x

Take it easy,

Peter

Hello,

We are going to be needing an AC unit also, hopefully we can get some of us together for a deal.

I noticed george and marcy that you said your address is 811, its strange because we were told that same number? We'll see I guess.

Peter.
