Hi Greg!
Do you mind me asking what kind of mistakes you've noticed so far on your home that they have fixed? Just curious.... we go up just about daily at the moment and we'll be heading up there tonight after dinner to see if they have finished the roof yet. We have been checking on our upgrades to ensure they have been done and so far everything is looking good. Hope to meet you and Cristina at Mattamy U.
Sure, not a problem.
- They poured our foundation footings wrong. Basically every Hazelnut has the fireplace on the side- except ours, it is on the backwall. So they had to pour impromptu footings on the back for where the fireplace actually is. No biggie here.
- Extra window in basement foundation. Our lot is a lookout view- as a result we get 3 windows in the basement that are rear facing. We were concerned that they would consider the window on the side as our third window (that should've been on the angled part of our "turret"). In the end, we probably should've let it go and argue the extra window later.
- Window location in Kitchen is wrong. We have the alternate kitchen layout that moves our sink from the side to the island, moving the stove in its place. So, there should be no window where one is currently cut out.
Minor things really, and all easily fixable. Just like staying on top of them so it is done right.
And yes, we should be at Mattamy U- we have an appointment at 6:30pm that we are trying to move but even if not, it is very close to the place and we might be the ones walking in 10-15 minutes late!
Cristina & Greg.
