Hello,

Any other purchasers in Phase 16A? I just purchased a Pine Hurst closing in April 09. My first home so looking for all the tips, input and advice I can get.

Should be an interesting year until it closes.

Congratulations for first house purchase.
Do not hesitate to ask any question at this forum. Or PM me, it is going to be our third Mattamy house in Milton so we know little bit as well. We are in 16A too. If closing is in February they will start digging out foundation in November, December. Building time is four months in total. I’ll keep posting here about progress on site if you like with pictures, we are in 15a which is very close to 16a site.

We are on the lot 68, if I'm not mistaken, almost three weeks left now since we were camping for it over night.

Those must be the chaps of phase 4 or 5. We (phase 16A) are unlikly to be called before May; Thats what i was told when booked the Home. I guess because Mattamy still need some kind of final sign off from muncipality. May be for the dev work if not zoning (if i remember correctly).

Nothing started yet.
It might be just not so dry as they need it for heavy vehicles. Our first townhome in Milton was delayed because of the wet ground in springtime.

I wish they let our two in. Last time I was asking we were booted out from Angels Garden. We are officially Christian non-catholic, but the only thing I care is to have school near by home. If they boot us out again I’ll call it discrimination.

They have no idea because here is no construction started at all.
This is what Nick told us today in the sales office.
We went to office to sign documents today, but instead we just canceled the deal.
Sorry for guys who was looking to get this lot #68.

Hi kf095,

Which lot you were at? 68? and what was your closing date? does this mean your lot is now open to public?

also i heard that they allow to cancel th deal in 7 days, its strange they let you allow to cancel it.

Well, we are loyal Mattamy customers and it was going to be our third house with them in Milton, plus it is big lot, so it is probably re-released today and most likely already sold, because we were camping for it and some good people wants it too at this day of release for this area. This is why I feel sorry.
Here is nothing wrong with 16A. It is perfect place in my opinion compare to whole HVE for example.
Closing day was in February and as it is now it appears to be major issue for us.
Another reason is, to be frankly, in my wife’s wisdom and my short vision. She was going on and on and on how busy is going to be this particular part of the street and how many houses are going to face this big lot. I finally gave up yesterday. It is going to be busy most likely and I don't want people to wait in their cars for ten minutes for me while I'm rolling out trailer with our boat in and out from the garage. I really don’t like to be reason for people frustration on the road.
I asked Nick if they still let us in and he was OK if we will keep bugging them about new releases once a week or so. They know we are not house flippers, who helps to drives houses prices up, we are just growing family. I mean we are growing by family members, but not growing anything in-house. For last three years they meet all my family and half of my family was camping for this lot last time. The only one Mattamy guy who does not like us from time to time is young fella Mike.

I don't get it??? you gave up your deposit and lot because you were worried about your neighbours giving you heat for having trailer :?:
