Hi justagirl

For your and everyone else's information Halton's waste management program is garbage pick up every second week with a six bag limit and blue and green bin pick up every week. Check the calendar that was dropped off to your house with the green bin forh the details and pick up dates. If you do not have one pm. me and I can drop one off to you or check halton.ca under waste management.

Grass clippings as any gardener can tell you, should be left on the lawn to compost and improve the soil of you property and not put into garbage or green bins.

The next planning and public works meeting has a report for the 2009 waste management program and is recommending more bulk waste pickups in new urban Milton areas and also working out ways to improve the handling of diapers and pet waste. (more information when approved by Council)

Hi Colin,

Thanks for your input. I just wanted to share with you that it seems not all residents of Potts Terrace have received blue & green bins. As Steve had mentioned in an earlier post those of us on the north side have NOT, therefore we do not all have the information you speak of. As it will be quite helpful in reminding us what can be put into the green bins, we look forward to receiving it.

Thanks again!

Michelle :D

Stacey Gibbs from Halton Waste was following up with the contracted delivery people to make sure we got them, but she's on holidays this week and said someone else in the office would have them email us with a new delivery date...

Haven't heard boo from their office yet though.
