I went via the web to try and sign up for both Cogeco and Bell. I am moving in about 28 days so I figure its enough time to book a date.... but when i tried the sites registered my address in 14C on Gervais Terrace and told me both TV and Home phone is available, but NO high speed internet.... just dial up... that's BS..

We contacted Cogeco and were advised they were sending someone out to survey the area and will call us back to set up an installation date. I called early last week and was told it would take up to 13 days to get someone out to do it....still waiting for our call back. Looks like we'll be moved in next Thursday with no phone/tv/internet! Yikes!

Hi,

I followed up with Cogeco today and was advised that Symons Crossing is still not in their system. When I told them that Bell was able to provide phone and cable, they didn't really seem too bothered. Just heard "oh sorry" a lot. They said that they will call me once it's confirmed that services are available...I truly have no idea what's taking so long!

I called Cogeco last week and they said that high speed Internet is not available in my area... but that's really only cause they have not surveyed the area yet so their system says otherwise. I got the guy to force it in so when the tech comes to install the phone and TV, he also does the internet. All the lines are already going to our houses so there should be no reason you won't have high speed internet... hell one of the "upgrade" options is for Mattamy to run Cat5 lines to however many jacks you pay for... doubt they'd offer that in an area with only dial up available :P

Good news! Finally heard back from Alison at Cogeco today (our closing day-yippeeee).

Services are scheduled to be installed at our house next Wednesday! High speed internet, phone and digital cable--all free for 3 months! She mentioned the bill would be $140 and change after 3 months, but we'll be downgrading our phone package for sure.

Anyway, just wanted to pass along the info! See everyone soon! Our muddy move is just hours away!
