looks like monaghan cr and whewell may be allowed to put up fences if the town assumes our lots from mattamy this June.

if there are any fencing companies, I would like to get some quotes, design options and deals based on number of us going in on it together.

You can put up fences without town approval, however if grading has to be altered after town inspection, you have to put down portion of the fence to allow regrade. I've spoken to a Mattamy individual who has told me that if parts of your fence has to be taken down, they will take it down and set it back up as a courtesy. It is very seldom that a regrade has to occur. A Mattamy builder told me that he has been working for Mattamy for 10 yrs and could count on one hand the regrades that he had to redo.

Does anyone have an update on the status of this area?

Do we know if the Town is going to assume these streets and/or approve the grading soon?

Perhaps someone from the Town could comment?

I dont think we even have the official metal spikes placed yet in the ground that says where our property lines fall.

Can't see it being any time soon. They are just about to get to phase 5A in HVE finally, and we moved in in 2009.

Apparently Paul Bolta(Mattamy customer servic rep) made a mistake when he said that town approval for grading would be June 2012. It now is June 2013. Mattamy are the ones to grade lots properly and then call Town for their inspectors to approve grading. I'm not worried about grading approval. I would go and put up a fence now if my neighbours are willing to split the cost but no one seems to be in a hurry.
