This Cogeco rep contacted me offering me 3 month free service and so on...not bad incentives, but what puzzles me is that the rep indicated that they have a contract with Mattamy who provides the information of those new home buyers to Cogeco to make calls like this. Has anyone else received this type of call? I'm a bit concerned that Mattamy is releasing my information without my knowledge...who else are they giving it to? When I asked the rep these questions she indicated it is stated in our purchase agreement....I'll be checking that tonight, but thought I'd check here to see if anyone else has experienced this. Maybe I should just fluff it off...???
I didn't know about a contract with Mattamy but Cogeco has a dedicated sales rep for Mattamy new home buyers. Bell will also probably contact you with a special offer. I would have preferred Bell but when I moved in, Bell had to install a dish which I didn't want. Bell now connects with the fibre optics which all Mattamy new builds have installed so the dish is not required.
