My wife and I have been looking at purchasing in the Milton area, and recently fell in love with Hawthorne Village. The idea of a new home really interests us, and heard that Mattamy will be opening up a new phase in the next few months. Does anyone know anything about this? |

Yes, you will want to register on the Mattamy website, they will notify you a few days before the release to set up an appt with the sales office in Milton. I think the will be releasing homes on two sites - west side of James Snow Prkwy, 1 block north of Derry Rd & Yates Dr, north of Louis St Laurent. Homes will be towns & 30-36' detached homes. Good Luck !!! |

Mattamy will be releasing a new phase of Hawthorne Village on the Park shortly with detached and town homes located off Bronte St between Louis St. Laurent and Derry Rd. They will also be releasing a newly planned addition to the original Hawthorne Village at James Snow Parkway, south of Main st. They will have a couple of phases that will include various towns and detached homes. Some of these homes will be closing as early as a year and a bit from now, but many for 2015. There are a few very nice never-lived-in homes that are being sold by the original purchaser. Depending on what you're looking for and your reasons for wanting a new home, this may be a good option as well. With interest rates rising, this allows you to lock in the low rates now and move in now. The current owner would have paid all the closing costs associated with a new home and the potential hassles as well. Happy to help you out if you have any further questions. I live in Hawthorne Village on the Park and love it. Have a great day! Ariel |

As indicated by previous posts, Mattamy has applied to build on 429 lots on the the James Snow site and 279 on the Bronte site. Whether or not they release for sale all those at the same time is probably dependent on demand but gauging by the activity on the James Snow development, it looks like they might be doing this as the interest by people who register on their site gives them a good idea. If it is a typical release, you will see line ups outside the sales office in order to make an appointment. I purchased in Aug of 2010 and pandemonium broke out in the line up as people camped out for several days prior to the sales release and Mattamy has since taken steps to hopefully make it a more civilized process. |

$420,000 plus add $60,000... depends on if you get siding or brick... and options like 9 foot ceilings, upgraded kitchen and bath, hardwood etc. |

All the detached homes will come with hardwood on the main floor which obviously will be incorporated into the pricing, much like they did with the Oakville release. |

wow, add another $10,000 to the base price[/quote] Yeah, a sly way to bump up those base prices. Thanks for your input. It will be interesting to see their price points and how the release goes. |
