Long time lurker (sounds kinda creepy, huh?), first time poster looking for our neighbours on Fennamore Terrace.

Where are you?

We're not on Fennamore Terrace... but we're buying a Ravenswood C too... a couple of blocks away on Reese Crt. Nice big pie lot you've got there. :D

Hubby and I just purchased Lot 140 on Fennamore Terrace. I was going to put up a post this week to find some neighbours, and lo and behold the neighbours found us!

Tell me about yourselves...aside from the fact that one of you is a longtime lurker!

I'm 30, and hubby is mid-thrities. We have no kids...yet. But we're working on it.

Hope to hear from you, and others soon.

~Natalie :)

You got 140?
I am opposite to you, in 114!!! What plan did you get? We grabbed a Glenwood II (or is it Glendate II?).

What can I say about myself. We're young parents in our late twenties with three kids  . I hope Stagg Garden and Fennamore Terrace are quiet streets.

I'd have liked lot 100 too, but by the time I got there nothing else was available. At least we got a lookout basement and creek behind, so I suppose that's good.

Oh and we'll move moving from the US. After 5 years and Seattle and a few months in DC, we figured it's time to come home :)

Thanks, I picked it out all by myself.

Actually, my real name is janda_mel but that username was already taken so I went with doughy_wicket
Lot 96 huh? I spent the night with your next door neighbours in lot 95 (not what you think :? ) during the last release in phase 3. A real nice family..they have 3 daughters 4, 7 and 10 years old. I know you're lurking these boards too Rolando, come out & play with us.

What to tell...what to tell... Well, I'm Nick, my wife is Jeanne & we have a 4 year old son & a 3 year old daughter. We currently live in an older part of Burlington and are so looking forward to moving to a community full of young families.

I've been caught - janda_mel is but an alias . I heard about the sleepover and am sad that we missed it however we'll all certainly meet at some point!

So a bit about us, I just hit 30 and my wife is a few years behind but catching up fast :? We're currently in the 'old' HV which is a great community but are moving so we can be closer to the escarpment for the mountain-biking [... as well as for other more practical reasons.]

We have a 2 yr old son and a daughter who is 5mths. We also have a live in nanny, Aiyleen, and know there is another family on Potts that has one as well. It would be good to know if there are others in the community so that they may perhaps connect.

the street I had my last house in had at least 15 kids under the age of 6. Every evening they'd come out, parents would sorta block the street with stop signs (to slow cars down) and kids would have a blast.

It seems like there's another such street in making :). I gotta tell ya, it's fun living with neighbors similar to you (in my case, young families).

Sounds like it'll be lots of fun! Hubby and I are really looking forward to having neighbours at the same stage of life as us. As I mentioned we don't have kids yet but sounds like we'll have to hurry up to catch up with everyone else!

Spoken like a true wanna-be parent!

Parents are generally in no hurry whatsoever to have more kids :).

So zhamid when will you be moving back to Canada...when your house closes? Actually when do you close? We're September 25th of next year. Hopefully we won't be facing the same types of delays that phase 1 and 2 have had.

This forum is a great way to meet and get to know our neighbours a little better...yay! We've lived in our current home nearly 4 years and I feel like we don't even know many of our neighbours the way we're (the Fennamore Terrace peeps) getting to know each other.

~Natalie :)

I don't want to brag or anything but our niece and nephews do happen to looove sleeping over and think it's very cool that their Aunt and Uncle make homemade pizza with them. And Shaun is loved by kids everywhere...he relates to them very well!

Jeanne & I feel the same way. We've been living in our current house for 6 years now and we know our next door neighbours and the ones across from us but that's it. Kinda sad really....but now we get a do-over!

This would be awesome.

We're looking forward to being in a community where the little ones can grow up and have lots of friends around to play with; we've been a bit transient the past few years.
