The Jays are leading 8-0 at the bottom of the 5th with 3 home runs already!
The team is looking good. I love it when I see a sea of people in the stadium!

Good luck Jays, good luck Bautista!

off to a good start for sure... but I have to wonder, when will the wheels fall off? Im a jays fan, dont get me wrong, I hope they can complete for wild card this year, and give us fans something to cheer for in August/Sept. BUT, I have a feeling that the young'ns are gonna lose focus and become frustrated quickly.

The Twins are a good squad, but not exactly "the ones to beat". But scoring 22 runs in 3 games is impressive!

I am glad to see they arent relying on the bomb to score runs this year. They will hit'em out of the park, maybe tops in the league again, but i like watching the small ball strategy over the swing for the fences approach.

Im looking forward to this season... well, the first month or two anyways

Another impressive win today over Oakland in the 10th inning. Just when I thought it was all over (5-0 deficit), they came from behind to beat them 7-6.

Sad to see the empty seats again.

Which player exceeded your expectations so far?

I don't know if anyone has really exceeded expectations so far... Pretty early to tell. You could say Bautista, but I expect big things again from him this season...

Rajai Davis looks good in the small sample we've seen of him, but again, not exceeding expectations. Love how he fits in with this squad. We've actually got a CF again! Nothing against Wells, but he is no longer an above average defender as the anchor of an outfield. Davis' range out there, lessens the load on Snider and Bautista and their range (or lack there of). Great to finally see a guy on the roster that can be plugged into the top of the lineup every day, get on base, swipe some bags and score some runs.

I may prefer Davis in the lineup, over Wells w/o factoring in any dollars whatsoever... Throw in the fact that Davis is earning 2.5 mil this season and Wells is raking in 26.6 mil from the Angels, and you've got yourself one hell of a move Alex! Thank you Anaheim!!! (would have loved if Alex held on to Napoli though, he would have spelled Lind on occasion, played DH and been available as a 3rd catcher... pounding a lot of balls out of the Rogers Centre)

I haven't watched baseball in years. The last time I was at a Blue Jays game the stadium was still called the SkyDome and you could still order a McPizza inside. I'm a big TFC fan these days, I know its that empty feeling I miss in the summer when the Leafs aren't playing, but I digress.

I usually follow the Jays loosely until around July, when the playoffs are pretty much a write off but there is some thing about this years Jays. They've got me hooked and I can't get enough. Win or lose I've liked what I've seen from these Jays. They never seem to give up, two or three runs down at points in a game doesn't seem insurmountable. FAST, whoa are they fast. Not to shabby so far. Hell, I even went out an bought a throw back hat (they've gotta bring that logo back, its the classic).

Any way haven't been this excited for baseball probably since 1993. Hope its a great year.

CHAMPS 1992 & 1993
