Are you excited about this season? Do you feel we have a shot at the playoffs?

I think it is good that there was some stability this offseason. The team was pretty good towards the end of last season. Your thoughts?

I think the Leafs have a chance at making the play-offs this year. If I had to guess now I am guessing an 8th to 10th place finish in their Confernece this year. If Reimer can start 50 to 60 games this year and play as good as he did last year I think the Leafs will make the play-offs in the 8th spot.

Preseason so far has been okay, 2-1. That fight tonight of Rosehill vs Shelley was a good one ! Kadri, Bozak and Armstrong have looked really good so far for the preseason.

Anyone else have some thoughts of the Leafs this year ? As a Leafs fan I really hope they make the play-offs.

They are always streaky (last 2 years had a great run & a horrible run)
Low chance to make playoffs unless someone else really falters
Leafs will again make it look close but there is no one who will step in and save them (they can't expect to ride Reimer like last year, team needs to produce or his stats will go down in a full season)

im not a hard core leafs fan by any means.... just not a big hockey fan overall. But I just found out my company gave up our seasons tickets, and I am really sad I usually get to 3-4 games a season, but not this year... well maybe one or two with the fam... but losing the seasons tickets really sucks.

For the first time in how many years, they actually better then previous years... and we gave up the tickets...

So 10 games down and the Leafs are almost in control of the league standings. They are 3rd only to 2 teams who played more games. Kessel is awesome leading with 10 goals and 18 points. The monster filled well Reimer's void and we have ourselves the youngest team in the league with the best record... Anyone else seeing a playoffs run on the way and a Stanley cup in the next couple years?

Still too early to say. There's a culture of negativity and skepticism among the fan base, so most people won't be-Leaf, but I've enjoyed watching the games so far this season and like watching Kessel with Lupul.

I think their up-coming road trip will be very telling of their mettle. Most of the teams they'll be playing next week are winnable games, and these are the ones they have to get Ws from. Against good teams like Philly or Pittsburgh, they need to at least hang in there, and they did very well against Pittsburgh last night, full team effort.
