Being an insulin dependant diabetic I care about my health, and so should you!
I have struggled to maintain a good healthy weight for many years trying out the gyms, miracle shakes and cleanses. -true fact. A few years back I found ZUMBA and within 6 months became a licenced Zumba Instuctor. Now I have the best job of my life helping others achieve good health, energy and fitness! We have all heard how Obesity is the number one killer and that by taking charge and being proactive for your health NOW, you are, making time to be healthy so you won't have to make time being sick down the road. How true is this? Hey? exercise may not make us live longer per say but certainly give us a better quality of life for the years we are given. You and I know we'd like to see and enjoy our grandchildren one day!!!!

I do not promote the skinny as we are all not built to be size 0's. What I do promote and what I have learned by being a Fitness Instructor is that with a good weekly routine of cardio/strength exercise we build energy, stamina, good health and an all together sense of well being. Of course we also have to fuel our bodies with healthy foods to see and feel the results with any exercise. ZUMBA does work. It is a combination of dance (international/hip hop/rock'n roll, etc) with strength and cardio exercises. You will sweat and can burn up to 500-1000 calories per class! The first step? Get off the couch, and stop making excuses to get out there! Can't dance? Your heart doesn't know cardio, it comes in time, if not, at least you are out there moving, doing strength exercises for you big muscles. (core, legs, butt, and even arms) You will notice sexier shoulders, a nice curve in your back, and so much more ALL while hangin out with your Miltonian buddies ( a good way to meet up and do exercise
