He missed most of last year because of a torn ACL.

What really kills me, is Burke said he would have drafted him even if he had the number 1 pick.

Get f*cked.

these losers he keeps drafting will never command top salaries. This is the MLSE business model because Toronto fans are idiots with a cheque book.

Starting to make a bit of sense now, Luke Schenn to Philly for Van Reimsdyk straight up. Opening up a D spot and getting them a power forward.

And here goes Gustavson, who in my opinion was the least mediocre of the 2 gollies, to the Jets for the Jets 2013 7th pick...

I never liked Luke Schenn's defensive game, but I respected him for being a good hitter and dropping the gloves at 18. D-men take longer to peak, so I'm actually quite surprised the Leafs gave up on him so soon. I wonder if there was friction between him and Dion Phaneuf after the fake tough guy (Phaneuf) attacked his brother Braeden.

van Reimsdyk hasn't put up big numbers the way others in his age group and draft year has, but the promising thing is he's big, still very young, and was actually drafted 2nd overall the year Patrick Kane was the 1st pick.

Yes the Monster is gone for a 7th round pick but he was UFA already, basically we traded the rights to give Winnipeg a chance to speak to him a week sooner. So not a typical trade.

Schenn much like Phaneuf has one big screw up in him per game that will cost the leafs a goal, so even if Van Reimsdyk dosnt put up huge numbers, got to recognize thats one less goal against per game.

Gotta love it when the tables turn in your favor. True that Luongo had some awful games but the reality has it that he's a great goalie and we are in need.
