Hello diva,

We moved in last April to phase 14B so this may not be as relevant now. We have Cortina kitchen cabinets, Notingham, Ebony Oak. I wanted to extend the cupboards and counter top into the eating area. When the Cortina guy was at the house to fix a scratch on doors, he took measurements. They will make cabinets , he said, but not install.

They never got back to me so I went to their showroom which was under construction. He said I had to measure (they had lost measurements) and couldn't guarantee anything. I gave up. I bought a really nice Baker's Rack to go in the space. I don't think it is something they want to do, deal with the customer.

That was a year ago, things could have changed, but this was our experience.

Hi Diva, The colour is quite dark. We also have a dark counter top which makes it darker. When we redo with granite, it will be gold, yellow colour. We have light beige floor tiles. I really like the cabinet colour, it is dramatic. This Spring we are painting and wallpapering. That will brighten up the colour. I also thought of putting a light fixture with 4 small lights that can be aimed at the cabinets.
