They are standard. I think many people would prefer something a little more solid, but I guess we can at least breath a sigh of relief that we won't have to worry about rust, if that's what you mean by maintenance free...

My concern would be what it looks like when it becomes more weathered. I can imagine it becoming discoloured. Anyone want to comment on long term experiences?

Sounds like I needn't worry so much. Great!

I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard this was standard at our Brick appointment. I know a lot of the earlier phases this was an upgrade that was not chosen. The wood does not wear too well.

Little things like this and the insulation spray foam in the garage are minor changes Mattamy is making to differentiate themselves from the others. I say keep them coming! But speed up the process so I can get more of them!! :D

I think it may be the same as yours.

I noticed today 2 houses on Clark were getting porch work done on their houses. While waiting for my kids to be dropped off I noticed on of the newer houses Probably phase 11 had paint on the porch railings starting to darken (ie Rust color in the seams) and paint starting to bubble.

I'm glad Mattamy went to plastic when they did because of the low maintenance.
