Almond French Toast topped with banana & raspberries. I made it for the wife and kids Recipe: in a blender 1 cup original almond milk 2 TSP organic cane sugar 1 TSP of Agave Nectar 1/4 TSP ground cinnamon 1 Banana dash of Turmuric few shavings of organic orange zest 1/4 tsp vanilla extract blend together and pour into a bowl. soak bread in batter and cook on a frying pan. top the toast with bananas and fresh/frozen raspberries. I took the frozen raspberries and heated them in a small pot with some agave nectar. finished it off with maple syrup.

abridgel wrote: Da*mn lots of work - I usually have egg whites and toast. What's the nutrient breakdown? most of the work is in chopping the bananas. Everything else went straight into the blender and into a bowl as batter for the bread. the nutrient breakdown for the entire batch (5 slices of ACE whole wheat toast): 1,410 calories 14g Fat 308g Carbs - 27g Fibre - 164g sugars 25g Protein we had 2 slices each so that works out to 564 calories (85% carbs, 8% fat, 7% protein) 5.6g Fat 123g Carbs - 10g fibre - 65g sugars 10g Protein you can get better macros by choosing a better bread (I like Silver Hills because it has 7g protein per slice) but I had to use up the leftover ace bread. |

That looks good but I don't have the time during the week. My usual is banana and then oatmeal at work. If the morning goes smooth before leaving for work I will make a rice milk and berry protein smoothie |

My fave breakfast food lately has been Quaker Instant Oatmeal Lightly Sweetened Apples & Cinnamon flavour. I just love it with 2/3 cup of skim milk in the microwave & then I top it with fresh thinly sliced strawberries & bananas. I then add Sweet'n Low sweetener which is not the healthiest but need the sweetness of it without the calories. I could live on this all day. |
