I do not mean to take a poke at you Bob, but that just shows one of the many reasons to use a mortgage agent versus settling for what you see posted at the banks.
Many times the banks have discounted rates that they offer to their clients which are usually fairly competitive.
However, by taking the time to contact a broker (or agent), we can usually get a better rate from the same lender.
There is still a stigma on mortgage agents, that we only benefit those with trouble getting mortgages on their own from regular lenders. Although there are some agents that work only with 'B' borrowers, my business is only about 5% 'B' clients.
