Post subject:  Smith Manoever Seminar- February 13th

Hi Everyone;

I am holding a Smith Manoever Seminar on February 13th. I am a mortgage specialist with Scotiabank, and I am holding the info session jointly with a financial planner.

Just to go over what the ideas behind it is, and a little about how to set it up, etc. etc. You don't have to be a Scotia client to come to this, I am providing it free of charge, and you are under no obligations of any kind.

If you would like any information, or to RSVP for the session, feel free to call or email me. I am limiting the session to 20 people, or 10 couples, due to space, as well, I like to keep these sessions somewhat "intimate" so you feel comfortable asking questions, and the format remains relatively informal.

That's good news Jessica as I know lots of people are interested.

Are fees going to be discussed, how much, monthly, quarterly, annually etc?

Are you guys planning to show people how they can go abouts doing it themselves to reduce the amount of fees paid?

I have contacted the mortgage person from M-Link as well as the Financial Advisor with all my questions and they continually skirt around all my questions surrounding fees and if the provide receipts for the fees they collect!

Cheers,
G.

the fees related to adopting this technique are based solely on the individual fees charged by the financial planner you are working with.

Same goes for the type of investments you wanted to be able to choose, etc. etc.

I will be discussing that for sure....I know when you posted regarding fees, I was quite concerned at the perceived notion that this was very fee based for just executing this, but rather there are no fees just for doing this.....any kind of charges are solely what your financial planner charges which would be normal under any kind of circumstances......and are dependant on what you discuss and arrange with them in your particular situation.

where will it be?

My new home(14B) will be closed in May or June, I'd like to know current mortgage rate info etc.

Thanks.

Hi Everyone;

Just wanted to confirm that the seminar will be held on Feb. 13th, at 7pm, at the Scotiabank branch at Derry Rd/Tenth Line. It is on Derry between the 407 and Winston Churchill....originally I had wanted to hold it at Cafe Deda, but looking at the numbers and the space they have, I think we will be more comfortable at the branch.

Light refreshments/coffee will be served....we will start at 7pm, and the presentation should last about an hour, including an open question period. Feel free to also stick around after if you would like some one-on-one info.

Please email or call me to RSVP your spot with your "real names" and a phone number. Even with the larger venue, I would still like to keep the numbers somewhat reasonable, to keep it a nice comfortable atmosphere.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to meeting some more faces!!
