That's a pretty uncommon size, so don't feel bad that you're having a hard time finding winters.
You should be able to get options on downsizing the tire size to get more selection. As long as you get a 16" rim with the proper bolt pattern, you should be able to seek other more common sizes like P225/65R16 or even P215/65R16. A good tire shop should have a good gauge on size options and present them to you. Any change in size will affect speedometer reading a bit, but if you are within a specified range, it shouldn't deviate too much. As an example, my stock wheels are P225/50R17, but for winters, I use P205/60R16.
