I have a Toyota Sienna and would recommend it. For a minivan it is one of the best in terms of safety and fuel efficiency. The base model comes loaded with options.

For the love of god stay away from the Kia minivans, they are cheaper but are huge problems down the road. My sister and neighbor both have one are in for repair every couple of months.

No doubt Toyota and Honda are the best but if you are not too much worried about the resale value then Dodge Caravan and Ventura are good too. You don't have to go for the brand new. You can find 2-3 years old under 10K which will still be under warranty.

If you decide to go with Dodge Caravan buy only which has 3.3 liter engine, it’s a Mitsubishi engine.

I have Dodge Caravan 1999, 3.3 liter engine which I bought in 2003 for 7K. It is still running good and I didn’t do anything accept regular maintenance.
