Anyone doing fences soon? How long do we have to wait? Once the fence is in I need to start on the large deck project! |

I think you have to wait until the backyards are graded by the Town of Milton (prevoius posts asking the same question in the past). Not sure how you find out when that occurs, I assume you just call someone at the town and ask. When our backyards are graded we should get together on Winter/Hearst and maybe see if we can get all our backyards done together |

Hi there. At our current home didn't bother to wait. I know there can be downfall to not waiting but we were willing to take that chance. With small kids and a dog, we needed our fence ASAP. Some people choose to wait untill all is assumed and well. Well that could take up to more then 4 years. The way I see it, is that IF something is wrong, they will come, maybe rip it out...or maybe not. It's not worth it to me to wait to just see what happens. I am paying taxes on my property from the day I close and to not be able to use it and enjoy it asap....no thanks. Don't get me wrong. we did wait 1.5 years...but no longer and we'll more then likely do the same in the new place - as long as there are no real issues going in.... Just my opinion! Gee |

Very True Rick, I know a few of our neighbours towards you. Manny, Dom and Linda are beside you right? I've also talked to Gerald before too about fences. We are starting to look around at costs. The trick is to also find someone who can create seperate bills so you're not chasing you neighbours for the cash. Once we get a few quotes I'll create a list and hopefully eveyone can agree. I know we want a board-on-board look too. |

I am trying to remember the name of the guy we used here in Mississauga. They were great. They were in and out on about 1 week for approx. 10-12 houses. Went up line a logs on fire, AND they went via seperate house billings, seperated by how much fencing you need and then the back part divided. Worked out really well, and didn't create any bad feelings between neighbours having to collect money and what not. Approval Fence and Deck - there, I remembered! Their number is 905 815 0852 Hope this helps! Gee |

I've been seeing Mattamy installing fences all winter long (Clark & Thompson) & just recently on Robson Cres. (probably not done through Mattamy, but I can't be sure. Tim |
