My family and I created team JR MAK Sunshine to fundraise and bring awareness to MS. In August 2011 Matthew the "M" in JR MAK was diagnosed with MS at the age of 17. MS came to our us unannounnced and without warning and shook our family to its core.
The other letters in our Team name represent Matthews cousin. We set our annual goal afer each MS Walk and fundraise until the next walk. To date we have raised approx. $48K (2011-2013) and our goal for May 2014 is $30K.
Our fundraised dollars have been directed to research at Sick Kids, to support people living with MS directly in our Community and most importantly to give HOPE to our Team and family.
Please come out and help our team raise funds by donating your empty beer and wine bottles at the Beer Store on Maple Rd. in the Longos plaza on Saturday January 25, 2014 from 1pm to 4pm. We will also arrange pick up directly, please PM me.
