This is just a speculative question, because we don't have a dog (yet). My husband is allergic to cats, so they are out of the question, but we're both dog-lovers. We've discussed getting a young-ish dog from an animal shelter, but the one major stumbling block is that we both work 40 minutes from home, so there would be no one home between 7:30 - 4:30. We were thinking about getting someone to walk the dog around 1-ish to get it out of the house, a bit of exercise, etc. and hopefully minimise the damage done to the house by a bored dog!

Does anyone know of a reliable, honest dog-walker in the area?

We use Richard as well for our two beagles, the days I have been home sick they go estactic when he comes to the door. He is a very big animal lover himself and makes me feel so good about leaving my dogs in his care. They are really good about cancellation etc. I have called them teh morning of several times and there has never been an issue.
