Poor venous circulation in the legs can lead to varicose veins, blood clots (which can travel to the lungs with serious consequences), and ankle edema (swelling). This results from standing or sitting for long periods of time without significant calf muscle activity (exercise).

This means that virtually every adult can benefit from modern compression socks and stockings.

These are NOT your grandmother's "support hose". Styles and colours are very comfortable and attractive, and look just like dress socks. There is even a new line of cotton socks that are very cool.

I wear them every day and when I get home from work (14 hours later!), my legs still feel strong and fresh.

Almost every insurance plan covers prescription strength compression stockings 100% (20 - 30mmHg), and usually multiple pairs per year. While the lower compression stockings are available without a prescription, they are usually not covered by insurance.

Every order is custom-fit by our certified fitters. Ask your doctor about compression stockings, then come by Hawthorne Pharmacy for your custom fitting appointment. You will be very glad you did!

Call or PM me if you have questions. Thanks.

Faisal
