When I first moved to Mississauga I had the Welcome Wagon people come by and they were extremely helpful and freindly. They gave me a bunch of coupons and a couple of freebie promotional items and introduced me to businesses in the area. The whole process lasted about 20 or 30 minutes I truly did have a warm and fuzzy feeling after they left.
But I must say, I had a huge volume of telemarketing calls from many of these same business and other places that they sold my information to. Do keep in mind that this is a business and they are funded by the companies that they introduce you to.
Would I allow them in my home again? Unfortunately not.
