use the metal hoses and get a moisture alarm and put it under the machine. Its the best we could do. useless if youre not home, but i dont personally spend too much time worrying about what ifs.

I have 36' lot house and my second floor laundry room has a drain ... Try asking your customer care rep or the building team

The 36 spirit ("Plan X") homes don't have 2nd floor drains. We have a village home with 3rd floor laundry and no drains either ... we're just planning to change the hoses about every 5 years so they don't get too old.

I suspect it's one of those things that aren't available in Spirit Homes. There was a conversation about this before. They should at least make it a chargeable add-on for home-owners that want it.
