I believe you have a hose bib located both at the back of the house and in the garage. The bib is located at the back of the garage but there was an option to have it moved towards the front of it.

It is actually located on the sidewall. Roughly 3/4 the way back on the short wall. We were told at our design appointment the bib would be at that back of the garage. So we paid the $125 to move it to the wall behind the powder room. They have not done it where I paid for it so it's on the 30 day list.

You will get 2 bibs 1 at the rear of the home another in the garage.

Reason we want it to be at the front is so the hose doesnt drag through the whole garage. meaning the cars need to be outside to water the grass and if the water from the hose leaks it's not wet in the back of the garage.

Also my car doors sometime line up with it so I wouldn't smash it getting in and out of the car.

SnS86,

you must be the one and only one to go to the city, good on that.

For $12k, it looks like it is worth it.

I guess I can figure out which is your house based on your posts, but cannot put a name to your face, but remember most of the people who showed up on the first release.

Hi everyone,

We just purchased a Lucan in the new Hawthorne South Village and we're very excited. We have our architectural upgrade meeting next week and we're thinking of leaving the kitchen as is (with the island). Just wondering for those who are already in their Lucans - how did you decorate/furnish your great room? We're planning to get the gas fireplace so that will be the focal point of the room, but we're not sure how we would set up couches/seating in there.

Thanks for your help!

We ended up not going with the fireplace but added an electric fireplace with a media console in the same location with our TV mounted above it. And a sectional for the room as we have the alternate kitchen. We have essentially rendered the breakfast bar useless as the sectional is in front of it.

We would have probably done a couple love seats if we went with the original kitchen.

Thanks SnS86. I noticed in a previous post you mentioned that you turned the coat closet by the garage door into a pantry. How do you find it? Do you end up having to walk through the kitchen to put away coats/boots if you enter the house through the garage?

Yea it's not bad. We have a shoe rack wall mounted in the garage so we leave our shoes in the garage. And then hang up the coats by the front door on our wall mounted coat rack.

With the alternative kitchen the space between the fridge and sink is quiet wide so it's not tight if people are in the kitchen.

And having the extra storage in the pantry is well worth it.

Thanks. Did Mattamy create the pantry for you, or did you do it yourself after you moved in?

Did it ourselves since it was an afterthought. Just removed the Rubbermaid wire shelf and installed the fast track system to space the shelves how we wanted to. We used MDF for the shelves.

We did the same thing in the garage as well.

Sounds like a great idea, SnS86! Would love to see pictures if you're willing to share?

Hi
Another Lucan corner owner , we chose EM elevation.
Have a quick question for all of you that went to your design center appointments , is there any difference in upgrade prices for different elevations of the same house model?
Thanks

Does anybody have their design guides from the most recent phases and can share how much the upgrades were for the kitchen (especially executive and grande)? We went to the design centre over the weekend and they were unable to give us a ballpark figure since we haven't received our guide yet, but we're hoping we can start budgeting this.

Also, we were hoping for pricing info if we decide to have hardwood in the dinette and (standard) kitchen, if anybody has that.

Surfer2 or anyone from phase 17 lucan corner owners, just wanted to know were you able to delete the bulkheads in the kitchen? they told me it had to be "partial bulkheads" ... before i try to sway the builders to remove it, just curious if anyone from my phase got them to fully delete them at the design center.

thanks.
