With respect to the Wood Lilly with the SS2 exterior package. Isn't the front door supposed to be dark as per the link below? Is this painted after the fact?

They haven't finished the house yet. It's still missing metal roof, blue color front door, garage door and blue shutters.

I don't close till end of May....legally can they make you close the house that's not finished outside/inside?

How complete does the house have to be, for it to be considered ready for closing....??

Yes they can. As long as there is one functional toilet and running water.

Hello,

We just got a call from the Mattamy sales office today to come in and pick our exterior colour package for our Woodlily Elevation C home.

We were told we have 4 choices (SS1,SS2, SS3 and SS4). We are supposed to go in and look at the selection boards this weekend and then drive around and look at some homes with those exterior selections and then come back with our final choice that same afternoon. Yes, that's not a lot of time but I am told that most people pick within the hour. They don't have many finished homes that have these exterior choices. Actually, she said there is no finished home with SS3 exterior yet so we won't be able to see that one.

Does anyone have any pictures of completed homes with SS1, 2, 3, or 4? There are some pics in this thread but only a few and some are incomplete and it's hard to see the brick colours.

Does anyone know if the SS packages changed along the way or have they remained the same? I noticed that there are two different Woodlily C Corner homes shown here with TS-18 exterior packages, but they both look completely different. Strange? Can the homeowners clarify? Did TS-18 change along the way?

Thanks,

Satmatrix

Hello all,

We went to the sales office and picked out our exterior colour package on Saturday. We talked to Andrea. We got to pick from SS1, 2, 3, or 4. We decided to go with SS-1. It's the one with grey stones, devon cream brick, and sage coloured stucco. We liked how it looked on the finished Wood Lily homes in HV.

If anyone wants pictures of some of the homes we saw in the SS exterior packages, please let us know and we can post them or private message them to you. I'm not sure who else will get to pick from the SS packages.

One tip: drive to see the completed homes (SS, ABS, or TS packages) during different times of the day and during sunny and cloudy days as the finishes seem to look different in different conditions.

Have fun with it! We did.

:P

Troy & Sarah,
Oh My GOD! You're the best.

Thanks for sharing those pictures. The house for sale is a Wood Lily, elevation C, which is the exact same model that we bought. Ours doesn't close for a year. What a great idea. It was nice of the agent to let you take a look at the house and take some pictures.

What a difference.......... seeing how the actual house will look for real, versus looking at a floor plan. This is so much better. We can actually see size and scale.

Was the house what you expected? Was there anything that surprised you, pleasantly or unpleasantly? Curious.

I wonder if the owners of this home could tell us what choices they selected for their upgrades and cabinets/counters, etc. I love it!
I really like the hardwood, especially the stairs.

Well done. Oh, and THANKS......... 8)

Hi again,

Thx for the details and write up on the Wood Lily house that you visited. You did a great job.

I looked at the Wood Lily floorplan and it does look like the drywall should extend up to or at least to pass the fridge location. It would be an eyesore to see the fridge from the family room. Let us know what your DC tells you on Monday. I think this is very important and we are glad that you mentioned it. I wonder if that was an error that wasn't noticed by these homeowners. It certainly would look strange the way it is.

I really think 9ft ceilings make a difference. We want to get that upgrade (it's expensive though). The hardwood colour is quite nice. I always thought dark hardwood would make a space appear smaller but it doesn't seem to in this case. Mind you, this house is without furniture so that might make a difference.

I agree that the one sink in the bathroom looks odd. We will be going with two sinks in both bathrooms.

My husband and I also plan to get rid of the second door to the bathroom from the bedroom. We don't think it is necessary. Having the door there, limits furniture placement and as you said, makes noise travel even more. Do you think Mattamy will give us a credit for that door? NOT! ha.......ha......

Did this house have a cold room?

Did you notice if there was a coffered ceiling in the den room? I thought that the Wood Lily homes now came with a coffered ceiling due to the bulkheads being deleted from the kitchen layout. Maybe they changed the plan after this house was built.

When will you find out if your home will have a sunken front entrance. Which would include taller garages and front entrance way and closet, right? Does it all depend on grading?

Again thanks for your input too. It's good to exchange thoughts, ideas and experiences with other Wood Lily owners out there!

Very nice house. Does anyone know if the tiles in the ensuite are Banff Black? They look a little too light but I really can't tell.

No the pictures were great. I am interested in the Banff black myself and now that I have looked back on pictures I took at the design center of my selections it is the grey colour that was my other choice. The Banff black is more of a dark grey not an actual black tile (people think it is strange that I want a "Black" tile) When I was talking to one of the girls at the design center she told me it is the colour that most single men choose! That was a strange comment seeing as I am a single female but it has not put me off. Those pictures give me a great perspective as I am also getting white cabinets.

The pictures posted of the Wood Lily are from a house 'for sale'.

Therefore, we have no idea who owns the house or what the name of the tiles, cabinets, hardwood and stain, countertop choices are.

If anyone has seen these selections at the design centre and knows the names of them, please post them. I liked the hardwood (which looks like oak) but I wonder what the stain is? Any idea?

We also liked the look of the grey tiles and white cabinets in the master bathroom and ensuite. The darker tiles work well here.
I don't think those tiles are for men only!!!!!
