Thanks for posting some pictures. :D What color is the kitchen cabinets?

It looks like you are missing an open square bracket "[" on some of your images.

I noticed that the WoodLily that is for sale has a different look to the columns in the Living Room/Dinig Room area? Yours has an archway and the columns are much shorter? Was that an extra option? I'm curious as to which one my house will have.

Yeah, I notice that too. It's all a luck of the draw. It depends on who Mattamy sub contract to build the house on-site. So far I've seen three different pillar design for the den.

Maybe this is a stupid question  but, where is the stove going to be? There is counter over the stove location.

I think they are getting a slide in stove where they will cut the counter when they have the stove on-site.

Thanks everyone. The arch in the Den is an upgrade originally you get a French door, the counter top has to be cutoff when we will have the slide in stove deliver. Kitchen cabinets are from Cartier.

Counter top: Milano Quartz
Cabinets Venezia Maple wenge
Tiles Centura euro calcuta beige

Main washroom

Tiles: Rustic ivory

I hope I answer all your questions.

Did anyone get the cold room upgrade in their Wood Lily 'C'? If so, we would love to see pictures. Is it worth having?

I believe Mattamy is now charging about $2,300 for it. We have a cold cellar/room in our current home and we use it a lot, but that's because this house is smaller and it's useful as a storage space and cold room. From the plans, it seems the cold room in the Wood Lily would be quite small and rounded (under the Portico area) plus it's got low headroom.

One thing I've noticed with having a cold room is that we have never had any problems with skunks, racoons, or other animals making homes under our porch. Many of our neighbours who did not have a cold room under their porch areas had problems with little animals digging holes under their porches and living there. Is this common?

Thoughts and pictures are welcome! Thanks!

Hi Lori and Dean and S&P,
Thanks for your responses.

We are surprised to hear about grading being an issue for a coldroom. I thought grading only affected the option of having a door from the garage in to the house. That's why the builder's always write "if grade permits" on the floor plans. They never put these words in plans for the cold room option.

We just picked up our design centre package last week and the cold room is still on the list as an option. I guess we shall wait and see. I find it hard to believe that grading would stop Mattamy from building in a cold room.

Have any other Wood Lily owners been told NO to the cold room upgrade?

I just spoke to our Design Consultant and she told us that we have one riser and therefore can still have the cold room if we choose to add that upgrade. However, it is with 8" of reduced head room.
