Post subject:  Hawthorne Village backyard pictures

I was hoping people would share some of the nice backyards they have in Hawthorne Village. To give others an idea of what's possible.

In your posts, if possible if you could include your...

(1) model size (i.e. town, detached, 36', 46', 50', 56', etc)
(2) is your lot size standard for your model ? Or premium/extra-big?
(3) If backyard was renovated by a contractor/designer, who they were and their contact info if you have it.

In the past, Jetgirl, Matt, and Gee have been generous enough to post pictures of their lovely backyards in postings here. So thought I'd start this thread off with theirs. Sorry I don't know the lot size or contractor info for these 3.

This is the backyard of a 56' model (tothburg) on Rixon Way but it's a premium sized lot as the depth and width is slightly larger than normal. It's actually a house we tried buying awhile ago but were outbid by someone else  The first 2 pictures were taken last summer, while the last picture was from this spring time.

I'm surprised at how small the gardens are, I thought they would be bigger :?:

It's 23' depth minimum by town bylaw.

from your house to the fence line it will be a minimum of 23 ft could be more, but at the very least has to be 23ft. And the width will be minimum of what lot type you bought.
Our front is 36ft wide but our back is 34 (according to the map in the sales office with property size) - we are a 34 lot.

Hi,

I am a little confused. We visited family in Milton last year and they had brought the Tothburg model. Their garden didn't look anywhere near 23 ft deep. If anything that was probably the distance to the house behind them. :?

23' feel pretty small, especially if your house is wide (the model you mentioned is 56' wide). I could've sworn my lot was 10' at most until I measured it and turned out, it was 25'.

Yeah it can be quite deceiving I guess. It was probably just me
