very interesting observation!

i don't close till nov/10 so i'm interested to see the replys.

btw what a nice looking stair case though!

question: we are going with hardwood floors after the close, but i think we should do the stairs with mattamy? will we have a problem with a colour match?

sal

We also have a Wood Lily being built and the stair issue is concerning.

We did ask about it and we were told that they would look in to it.

Has anybody asked Mattamy about the bumps/humps in the curved stair handrails on their Wood Lily homes?

Those bumpy parts are so obvious and they don't look right at all. If they get questioned about it more, then maybe they may be able to work with a different stair provider to ensure proper curved stair rails. They are supposed to be continuous (looking) and smooth. I think it is normal to expect them to flow.....without hiccups!!!! Plus, RKNight, we don't want any injuries now, do we?

Good idea. I tried raising that concern during my PDI and I got no where.
They said no one else complained about their Woodlily stairs and I was the only one. :?

No there was no solution to the rail problem. They said it is normal and that is how they are.......
They said it can't be changed as that is the only way they can be done.

Strange. Anyway I guess us Wood Lily'ers are stuck with them. It's funny, we don't notice the bumps anymore so they can't be that bad. The rail definitely would look better straight and curved without the bumps.
