We have bought a green brier, and have our design appt. soon. We are torn between 2 separate issues. Firstly, we are planning to stain the banister and rails in a darker stain, however, we are not sure if we should pay the $3500 for an ALL maple staircase.. with a runner.. or simply do the rails and banister for $700.. and leave carpet on the stairs.
If anyone has any pics of their staircase.. please please post.

The other thing is.. we like the chocolate coloured cabinets, but are unsure if it is worth upgrading to the classic.. from the standard.
If anyone has any kitcken pics.. particularly in the chocolate colour.. please please post them.

Thanks for any help!!

Hi:

I strongly recommend to upgrade the stairs to wood! It will def. add value to the house & they will make the house look beautiful! It's really expensive to change stairs from carpet to wood later on (we know because we quote people on this type of work) & also very messy, so if you have the chance to get it done by the builder, do it!!!

But don't take hardwood floors from the builder, they can be easily done after closing for less $ :) And if you need help with that, we can def. help
