We're really excited - it's been a lot of hard work up to this point! :D

:) Everything seems to have more-or-less gone well, though there are some asthetic things they marked off during PDI that they didn't correct. Heading over to see the builder to see if they can come correct it sooner than later.

I thought most of the hard work was over once we took the keys - oh boy was I wrong! :D Back-breaking manual labour gallore!

:) No problem. I know how hard it can be to "plan" around just a floorplan. If you guys want to see a specific part of the home, lemmie know!

Hey silentjay,

Did you decide to go with the main floor only or the whole house?

Gotham? Baroque?

Good luck with the carpet removal, please post after the install :)

I've got the ground floor carpeting rolled up, just need to wait for the basement to dry enough to put them down there :P Will post pics of the during and after process.

Dan, we ended up going with main floor + 2nd floor hallway in Gotham. Baroque was a bit too dark for our tastes, although it looked very elegant. Can only imagine the amount of swiffering if we got that though!

JDV, I can't quite recall the name of our tile off the top of my head, but as I understood, it was a bathroom tile that we got throughout the ground floor. I'll take a gander through the purchase agreement and post.

Yep - the shower enclosure is a builder upgrade. Our cabinets are Wenge I believe, which were a standard colour/style.

^^^ One persons "worth it" may be "not worth it" to another person - very subjective. Personally, I feel that the bathroom feels much larger and much less... clausterphobic with the enclosure. I think ours was around that price. You can try to do it after closing but I have a feeling it'll cost a lot more than $2094.
