We drove to Vista today and it was nice to see that there was access to the streets now. All the roads are paved and road names and stop signs are up!

It was nice to see that the paths around the pond are paved too. It gives us an idea of the scale of the pond and area layout. Our home backs on to the pond and the path, so it's good to have an idea of our lots size and depth and exact location.

It is coming together nicely.

HEY EVERYONE. JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW, OUR PACKAGES WILL BE ARRIVING AT THE DESIGN CENTER SOON!!!

I spoke to Victoria in the Design Center today and she confirmed that our packages will be ready no later than the end of this week. She said she would call me back as soon as mine was ready so I could go and pick it up (she said I should hear from her on Wednesday -- awesome!).



Does anyone know what your structural appointment consists of???

Thanks for the information- that is very exciting indeed. Heck I'd even take a call to go pick our brick colour at this point so any Vista action is good action

Well, its now Wednesday and I still havent heard anything from them on it being ready (which she said she would call me by today so I could pick it up in the evening since its open house...).. Argh.. I have to go to my second job now, so I wont be able to call until Friday, unfortunately!!!

I received a call from the DC today, they had an issue with the packages for Vista and they have to be fixed. I was told that instead of today we can pick it up next Wednesday. I seem to be seeing a very poor trend with Mattamy on our go around.

Are you kidding me cookiepaws? Geesh- that's kind of annoying. I'm dying to know who the cabinet supplier is for Vista and I'm so curious about the upgrades price list...

I was at Mattamy today, and they FINALLY announced that the cabinet supplier is Frendel kitchens.
Their stuff is ok, I have it in my current house.
At least now the wondering is over..

I spoke with Amanda Ayles regarding our upgrade package and she said they are rolling them out in order of closings so those with appointments now or in the next little while will be getting them first. I'm hoping we'll have them in February for sure because I won't have that much time to go through it all with a newborn in the next couple of months.

We picked up our upgrade package last night and booked our first appointment at the DC which will be on January 29th. The upgrade package has everything in it. We haven't heard anything about the exterior (we bought Sept. 6).
We are disappointed that our house has absolutely no alternative plans- but I guess it saves us money now!

The Frendel cabinets were all there but they aren't on "display" they are in rubbermaid type tubs and a rolling rack- but they are there. We were pleased with the Viking III options in a Shaker style. I didn't realize that in addition to the colour they have the different cabinet styles on the internet (silly me!) So we are quite thrilled with the cabinets as we had really low expectations.
The cabinets were located by the fireplaces and the interior door selections.

That's great Cookiepaws! Can you tell us what the standard is for Frendel with Mattamy? Is it Viking II or is Viking III the standard and you upgrade from there?
