I have a dark blue Accord, so might have been me. I was taking some pics of my place pre-drywall for future reference.

Hi Magurn Gate and Lane Residents.

I went to the site today and the towners have drywall in block 185. Yayayayaya!!!!

Looks like things are motoring along. Okay so they have these really big heaters in the
homes right now to dry out the inside. I am assuming it is for the drywall but you know
I really don't know. Anyways, so they have these heaters in there and it looks like some
kind of fire coming out of them. I just hope they don't burn down the place. When I was
in my house I noticed that the heater wasn't on in there and there was a ton of drywall
waste in my in-law suite. I am glad the heater wasn't on in mine.
Here are some pictures I took of my house with the dry wall.

Andrea - Wow getting closer! 9ft ceilings isn't an option for your Rothmill is it? Is the soaker tub the standard 5ft or 6ft one? Did you get the jets and the handshower upgrades?

Everyone else how's it going! Came out from the structural on Friday, was pretty surprised that Frendel still doesn't have all their pricing yet; anyone else get their structural done recently? Did they do the same as for us and just took the Canac pricing?

Hi Tony,
No I didn't have that as an option(9ft ceilings) I asked them because I would have loved to have had them but they said no since it was a townhouse. For the soaker tub I took the jecuzzi. It has 6 jets but doesn't have the air massage. This is the cost they were charging for the jecuzzi:
Soaker tub with jets and air massage – $4198.00
Air massage tub $3072.00
Soaker tub with just the jets - $1622.00 <-- you see why I just bought the jetted tub. Who has that kind of coin for a bath tub.

I didn't get the upgraded faucet with the hand shower and now I regret not doing that upgrade. I will manage. I think that they can be changed so that it can be there but it will just cost alot of money to do it. :(

Hi all!

We just bought our Sandcliffe Corner today!

We signed the papers this morning and our move in date is Oct 15 so we will in just in time for Halloween! This is our first home and we are excited and freaked out!

We wanted to say hello! And we won't receive our package for a few weeks, so were wondering if anyone has a price list for upgrades? We have been thinking about granite... any ideas?

Hope to meet you all soon!

Michele & Amanda

Welcome to the forum Michele and Amanda. You guys are going to have a great time planning for your new house.
Read through some of the threads that are specifically about your model and check out the section on upgrades.

Hi Andrea - No pictures update for this week???

M&A - Hi and welcome ... if you PM me and send me your email I can send you what was sent to me. Unfortunately no pricing yet on a lot of the kitchen cabinet stuff.

Re. Granite I never looked at what value Mattamy's charge for that upgrade is ... we're leaning to some other stuff!

I assume you got Lot63? We're across the street on Lot 71! What made you decide Sandcliffe Corner vs. the Spirit Homes?

Hey there Tony,

No real update this week because not much has changed up there since I was up there last except it looks like they are getting ready to pour the garage slabs.(sorry no pics) I found that my garage dirt was more level and all the debris was gone. They have also finished bricking the front of my house but I know they are still working on Irene and Dayanands home and the rest of the towns to my left. (I have pics of course) :D

Here is the block as of Thursday March 26th

Hi all,

Can't believe I just went through 18 pages in this thread! My name is Ed and my wife's name is Sharon and we just purchased the very last lot on Magurn Gate, lot #65! we got Brentrock elev B and it's our first home. We currently live in Mississauga and just got married this past Oct.

Definitely looking forward to meeting you guys soon, and very excited about our first home.... I'll probably have a trillion questions though as this is completely new to me, but you guys seem to know your stuff

Thanks for the welcome, it's April right? I think I still have some memory after reading those 18 pages... hehe

The cold floor issue concerns me because I don't think WE as the buyers should have to worry about it, or purchase something after the fact to fix it. It should be done right the first time, ESPECIALLY if other Mattamy homes have had this problem in the past... doesn't the electricity being used by that fan neglect any savings on heating?

then again I have NO idea what an average heating bill would be per month :P

Welcome to the neighbourhood Ed & Sharon! CONGRATULATIONS on your first home :). Hahaha...how long did it take you to get through the 18 pages? We purchased a Brentrock elevation B as well...you're gonna love it! If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you :). I was a little concerned re: the ground floor being too cold, but then I saw an ad somewhere about a duct cover that has a fan in it. It's supposed to help circulate the heat within the home & save $$$ on heating bills. I think you can buy it at Home Depot. :D

More neighbours!!!

Welcome Ed & Sharon!

Wow so who's gonna update the neighbourhood map someone put up before?

Re. the cold first floor .... yes its a known problem ... I thought from what I've read that by ensuring that the 1st floor air returns are funtioning that its helped tremendously, but I could be wrong.

Hello! This is Lisa of Lisa & Paul. We purchased a Harris Bay 'B' on Magurn Lane, Lot 76. Rob? I think we are next door neighbors. Sorry I don't have a photo yet, can't seem to get it down to the right size. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any delays on our lane. We close on August 18th, or at least we hope so! :D
