Our footings are in place, we went by the site yesterday.
We have an adjusted closing date: September 23

Is it really that easy? All you need to do is ask your CCR for a delayed closing?

Hi Chris and Sarah,

Just want to say 'welcome' to the street. Congrats! Lot 192 is a good choice, with an awesome view of the escarpment.

When is your closing date? We are expected to close Feb 2010. It seems far away, but you know how time flies!

We passed by Wettlaufer Terrace today around 5pm and the crews were very busy. They have poured some foundations (or they are ready to) and one house has the first floor framing already done. Once they start, they do move forward quite fast.

:D

Welcome Chris & Sarah to the best street in the neighborhood!!
Best way in is from Scott. Left on Pringle, left on Jelinik, then 1st right on Wettlaufer.
I was also on Wettlaufer today, looks as if they're moving full speed ahead. I believe it was lot 177 that they were putting the 1st floor on. I also noticed that the walls were pre-framed. The house looks like it will go together like a puzzle. Which is probably how they are able to build so fast.
Looking forward to seeing my foundation go in!!

Welcome Chris & Sarah!

Busguy--
Ahhh, now that makes sense.
We were so confused when we were told that our wall panels were already built- we had no idea what they meant by this. I guess that would be referring to the pre-framed walls.
Thanks for the update- guess we'll be going by the site at least once a week to get photo updates. It was exciting last weekend to see our footings, so we could see what the basement will look like.

Yes, they pre-build the walls, then just pop them on. Pretty smart on their part, it's almost like buying a pre-made shed from Home Depot. Just alot more expensive!!
We''l probably pass by tomorrow morning to take pics if the rain lets off.

I think, in a few months if it does not sell, they will pick a home for the lot, and sell it as an inventory home, dropping the price.

Chris&Sarah and tandb have been added to the list! :D

As a side note we drove by the site about a million times on Saturday- I think the security guard on site must have thought we were crazy and a lot of the houses are coming together. We drove down Wettlaufer and Gooch and saw a lot of foundations poured- very exciting for those of you closing in the next 3 to 4 months! :D

Hello,

My husband and I want to introduce ourselves. We are Lot 170 on Wettlaufer, closing July 29th. We're very excited to meet everyone!

T and B

Welcome T and B!
We are almost behind you on lot 225, directly behind cookiepaws.
It's great to see so many people in Vista/Wettlaufer on here. It's a great way to break the ice before everyone moves in & gets busy with the task of a new home.
Cheers!

Hi BrownEyedGirl, Welcome!!

Great to see that I finally have a neighbor behind me!! I was scared that noone was going to buy it & we would have a pile of dirt behind us when we moved in!
That is a BEAUTIFUL lot you have chosen.
When is your closing date?

Congrats T and B, and Brown Eyed Girl.
Welcome to Vista!
It's funny....... this thread is real quiet for a while and then there's all this new stuff happening and some more new home owners to Vista all at once.

:D :) 8)

We close this year Dec 09. We cant wait. Im going to the design center this Sat..if its open.?? I have watched this lot for 2 months almost and we finally took the jump. I am so surprised it was not sold sooner! This forum is so great to meet the new neighbours and all. Has everyone picked their brick yet??

Good to see that you finally took the plunge. We also had an eye on our lot for a few months. It's a big decision.
I think you will be very happy
We also close in Dec and have not yet picked our brick. I'm hoping they will call soon.
Anyone else in Vista pick their brick recently??

Yes, There are some options for replacing the tub in the laundry room. We have a Snowberry and went with an upgrade stainless steel tub and cabinet. (We were not fans of the plastic industrial tub)

We are getting this done by mattamy as we want it to match the upgraded cuboards above the washer/dryer.

I did not see the picture of the setup but upgraded anyway.
