ya, me too... just was a bit freaked out from Ryan and stuff.. especially if we want to do pot lights on the third floor... we would only consider the foyer though.. not the actually bedrooms...

he also told us that we were AHEAD of schedule, which made sense... forgot what the reason was though..

Third floor is way easy because they can go through the attic, and there's usually a ton of electrical to draw from up there.

I think everyone is (except us.. I think we're a little behind actually)... Some of those guys don't close until November and they're framed and getting ready for brick already.. Almost feel sorry for them cuz they may be getting locked out soon ;-)

Well Ryan said it's harder if you need to run the wiring all the way from the breaker on the 1st floor and the insulation on the roof... if the pot light isn't in it's own enclosed box or something along those lines it could pose a serious fire hazard

ya, like when does that start? Ryan mentioned if we need to know what's going on with the house etc, to CALL him as the doors will be locked... don't remember when in the process (when the drywall is just finished?) they delayed your closing date once already no?

Thanks again for the updated pics Rob. Your house looks awesome now that they have most of the exterior finished :)...but those ladders leaning on my house are making me nervous

Thanks April... and a heads up.. looks like today your house was cleaned inside and it looks like the first coat of paint has gone up (same as ours)... you guys may want to head up to take a look this weekend because locked doors may not be too far off in your future ;-)

why so quiet guys??

April, it was wicked finally meet Joel. I'm guessing he doesn't really roam around these forums too much?

Our doors were locked too :( so I was trying to figure out a way to sneak in, but really, there isn't unless I use my hulk strength to break down the doors :p

Weird, cuz Doug's place wasn't locked up?? and I'm sure he's very close (if not already) moved in by now... they really finished his place quick, and I couldn't remember it ever being locked...

Sooooo much going on for us lately, and the big one when it comes to the house.. is of course the locks... checked tonight and we're locked out again... we're down to that under a month point sooooo now crunch time begins... and the worst part is you have to guess what's going on behind those doors ;-)

Well, from what I got out of the Framewalk, we can call Ryan or the construction office and make an appointment to see the house (inside out). We're over 2 months out and we're locked out!! will they ever slip up you think and leave it unlocked? or going forward, they'll lock up after the day's work?

I really don't want to call and "bug" Ryan every week to check out the progress..

Ohhh they definitely slip from time to time.. they forgot to lock our back door one day after they did the ceilings.. but I would imagine they'll be more vigilant after the fixtures start showing up... 2 months huh? it'll be interesting to see what happens to the november closings because a couple of those look like they're not too far off from being locked out as well... ;-)

So its lock out time for you guys. I am so excited for all of you. I remember that time for me and you know I had been at the site every week once they started construction. By the time they locked me out of the house I had seen most of everything. I think they locked us out around a month and a half to a month and three weeks before closing. It was right around the beginning of April. I started to go during the week in the day time because I wanted to see all the colour choices I made and how they turned out. I told my builder that was why I was there during the day because he had asked me to come on the weekend when the construction workers were not around. He had no problem with that. I also wanted to be surprised when the final closing happened. It kind of built up the anticipation before closing.

So one month to go for Arpril and Joel and Rob and Jen. Yay. Rob I will finally get to meet you and Jen. I met your neighbours Lisa and Paul about two weeks ago.

Welcome to the forum to the family moving into lot 66. I am sorry I don't remember your names and forgot to look before I started typing this post but welcome welcome welcome.

Hey Ed,

Joel says it was wicked to finally meet you too...no, he's never on the forum, not much of a computer guy (that's what Rob is for *wink wink*), he's more of a car guy. I can't believe you guys were locked out too...maybe they'll bump up your closing date? Have you tried calling Ryan to unlock the doors yet, I was thinking of doing that this week...but kinda scared to annoy him with that :?

Lol, I'm not a computer guy really either... I like to pretend I am sometimes though :P

I can see a lot of "car talk" between me and Joel

Ya, we're going to call Ryan regardless probably sometime this week. Try to get an update and also see if we can get certain stuff done that would make our hardwood floor install better...

He told us if we were to show up this evening & our doors were locked, it would be because the security guard was going around & locked our doors. Well, we went to the site this evening & our doors were unlocked Very Happy I was so excited to see that they have already started to install our tiles & we now have banisters Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy . BTW...Gerry,Banu & Sean, it was so great to meet you! Rob, always a pleasure Smile Oh, Ed & Sharon, we were drivng by your place & noticed that your garage door was left open. Maybe they only lock the doors on the weekend??

Hmmm, maybe we'll go for a check on friday as we'll probably be in the area... if not the weekend again. I just don't want to show up there and the workers are still there etc...

Who's Phil? I'm hoping they're going to be ok with having doors unlocked and or people coming by cuz we want to have our estimates done for our floors/counters done well in advance
