I think there is a number to call Mattamy if dust is a problem. I am pretty sure they have a dust program where they send a water truck around to keep it down.

I am almost certain once the Town takes over you can call them but until them, I am sure you can call Mattamy and ask.

LOL- sorry I had to laugh when I re-read that.

Of course you have to drive around and check out your house.

I'm only concerned with persons that drive at a speed causes a massive dust cloud. You can adjust your speed to minimize this, you'll find those that are living in it drive at a certain speed and some (not all) visitors drive at a different speed.

Haha, good news! Yes, people should be really careful of the speed on Wettlaufer for many reasons! Dust, active construction, lack of sidewalks so have to be careful of kids/pedestrians!

I agree on dusty days people need to really go slowly to prevent as much dust flying around as possible. When I was there a few weeks ago a pickup truck must have thought it was the Indy 500 in there and dust went everywhere. I was the sad driver with his sunroof open and a cloud of thick dust went EVERYWHERE. I can imagine for those that is going into their vents etc.

Looks like Lot 175 is for lease. I didn't notice someone on the forum claiming that as their lot on Wettlaufer but I guess they are delayed selling their current home? I would thought with the market the way it is, if it was a flip home they would do so (unless its to wait out some waiting period)

Hello,

I am moving next week to Pringle Ave (finally). Anyone know if they will be asphalting driveways before snowfall?

Regarding the asphalt, I haven't received an answer yet. I'm waiting to hear since our house has been completed since July and we don't have asphalt yet. The gentleman that can answer is on vacation this week, I will be calling on Monday and hopefully can get an answer. The last time that I called I was told they were going to try.

PS- Don't forget to vote for your park concepts.

Thx for posting this link and information. I just got my vote in (definitely voting for Concept #2). It the best laid out plan.....

We like the location of the sports field being at an angle. We like the plan for the trees, paths, and playground areas too.

Did anyone else vote on this?

Also for the East park plan, we like Concept #2.

I actually like concept 1 for the East Park

I feel that parking off Scott is the best, it keeps the small streets from getting traffic that is not necessary. Plus it put's the play area at the back of the park, in my eye's it is safer on a quite street away from the busy street. It also offers the children a safe place for open play between the park and sports field

For the West park I like concept 2

Mainly because Vista is suppose to be a more "green neighborhood" more grass less pavement is what was sold to us... Concept 2 seems to have the least amount of pavement therefore keeping it more green, keeping the park along side with the look we are suppose to have in this neighborhood.

We voted plan #3 for West
the one where the sports field is located near the school so sports teams have available parking. If the school will be using this field I think it should be closer to the school. I like that there are also more pathways to the other areas on this proposal.

For East # 2
I thought it would be nice to have the park and green area visible to the road and easily accessible to pedestrians

We voted for #3 for both. I actually liked for East to have the parking off the smaller street (people stopping on Scott to pull into the parking lot) and both 3 on E/W put the playground away from the busy streets (Scott and Savoline respectively).

Hey Kitty,

Welcome to the forum. Its still a pretty new model, but I was able to find some pictures from CliffB's site. Probably give you a great idea of what it looks like.
