Hey Kitty,

Welcome to the forum. Its still a pretty new model, but I was able to find some pictures from CliffB's site. Probably give you a great idea of what it looks like.

purchased a Hazelnut and closing oct 2010
can youo post any interior pics of this awesome model?

That is a Hazelnut C there (easiest way to tell, has the balcony on the second floor).

They have the den/office (the french door) as opposed to the living room option (would be open with different stair layout).

An alternate kitchen layout, forget the name of the option but has the pantry (beside the fridge).

The second floor looks like it is the normal without any options. Master ensuite would be changed if they had put in the ensuite off of bedroom 4 as well as a walk in closet for bedroom 4 (removing one off of the master).

Greg.

Thank you for the link

I purchased a Hazelnut C as I loved the model and the look of the C elevation.

Had the den changed to the living room so I can get a staircase with a bullnose etc, alternate fireplace, extended the hallway and closed up the wall between the dining room and great room. I left the kitchen with the standard layout but now thinking if I should change that.

Left the upstairs the way it was given that there will only be 2 living in the house - I needed the extra closet space in the master :)

My structural will not be until the new year so it gives me lots of time to think about that.

Can I request changes to the width of the openings for the appliances? I have a gas stove that is wider than the width identified in the Mattamy literature. Is this possible?

Congrats kitty! What street are you on? Gooch?

You can definitely have the width of appliance openings changed. We have a gas cooktop and built in oven and microwave and we only had to provide Mattamy with the specs for the appliances and they will make the necessary adjustments. :)

Hey Buttafly77 I think our backyards touch...we bought Lot 86 a Juneberry "B" with a closing date of Jan 19th

Hi Edavidmac,

Nice to meet you and welcome to the forum! Great model you chose :D Our closing is December 17th- we're very excited. Not sure if you know but they are doing driveways this week and next and it looks like sod will be going in this month as well since all the backyards have been graded. We'll be moving onto a near complete street- pretty cool.

curbs are all done, Pringle was getting a lot of driveways asphalted on Friday. I know we were prepped last week so I'm hoping we have a driveway when I get home tonight <fingers crossed>

Buttafly- Have you actually heard there is potential for sod this year? That would be amazing!! No cutting, watering. I do know that the sod farms are still open... we haven't had permafrost yet.

It looks like a lot of people are moving in for December- Enjoy!!

i heard right from the builder last week when I was sitting in mattamy's trailer thatwe could potentialy get sod all depending on weather and if the sod farms are still cutting rolls, otherwise it will be next spring.

The grade on most of the north side of Rpingle needs to be raised still and the backyards as well are not ready for grading since work is still happening there

Hi Cookiepaws- yes we've heard that grass is a very good possibility for this year like M and M mentioned which is amazing! I never put it to mind that we would get it this year because of the late closing dates but because the weather has cooperated it appears that not only are driveways coming but so is the grass! :D No major mud in the springtime? Sweet bliss I tell ya.....

Wow,
I never thought the grass would happen before winter..The only down side, is that if/when any of the contractors walk on it if its partially frozen during the winter, you'll see the footprints. In spring after the though, it doesn't look so nice. Happened at my last place the 1st winter.

Hey busguy,
what is your move in date, did you end up getting delayed?
Just wondering as our neighbour beside us was just delayed to January.

PS- just got a call to move a car out of the driveway they are paving today!!! only took 4 months! I'm so thrilled

I have a site plan for Vista from May and another from September, and I just noticed now that lot 198 (on Wettlaufer) went from a 43' (green) to 36' (pink). I'm curious to see the model but that is kinda weird they changed the house on that property.. i'm pretty sure when I bought the lot was already sold, but its possible it wasn't. I don't see the owner on the forum (at least not in this thread).

I thought we were the only 36' non-corner on Wettlauffer. Strange that it changed to a 36. I wouldn't have thought there would be an issue selling a 43' though in this market. Must have been more of an issue of building permit or maybe not fitting correctly on the lot.

You are no longer ;)

There was a side lot easement that restricted the size of the house, they are building an Upland 'C' there now. The snob thinking about resale in me says 'HEY, I BOUGHT WITH A 43' across from me' but there is another voice as we don't intend on selling for the next 15+ years saying 'WHO GIVES A RATS'

Not sure which is stronger at the moment :)

I think the only thing that I'll be legitimately pissed off about is most every house has a 2 car garage and an Upland has 1 small, 1 normal sized garage. If those owners have big cars and it leads them to more street parking !@%!%
:)
