I know...I'm so anxious for the process to begin, however waiting gives more time to save since you have to pay for at least 35% of the upgrades when you chose them!

Sorry I think I sent my last response to you as a "pm", I must have hit the wrong button ... I'm just getting used to this site !

Does anyone know who bought the big lot #19 & what house they put there ?! I didnt think anyone in our "camping out" group was interested but it was sold that Sat. Just wondering if I might already know my neighbour on this side.

We'll be visiting the site this wknd so we'll take some pics & I'll post them ... if I can figure out how too !

We are also closing on Oct 21st. We hope to be on time too as we have to coordinate dates & sell the townhome we are in now.
I have all the info we got the day we purchased if you want me to post closing dates for other lots I can, let me know.
I think most people close in Oct, Nov & a few in Dec & Jan.
We're hoping to have grass & paved driveway & I think the area will look complete by the time we all move in. I can't imagine moving now & living in a construcion zone !

I'm not sure re the exterior finishes ... I hope by the time we choose there will be some homes to see.
It's hard to pick from the finish boards only.
A few Spirit homes are going up in Vista, we found 5 homes like ours that are under construction so we will be watching those.
Also the Spirit site at HVE is starting now too, I think those houses start to close in the Spring.
I'm sure you'll find your home soon !!!

No...we haven't been called yet. I think they're going by closing dates and we're definitely not one of the first to close, regardless of being the first to purchase. Amanda and Zeus close early October and we close towards the end. I would imagine that we'd hear something soon though.

Amanda is this for your brick selection or for your structural appointment? The package you picked up...is it the list of upgrades and pricing? So exciting!

What are some of the upgrades you guys are thinking of doing? How much are they as per your book? Curious what others are picking and would like to get a very rough idea on the costs. It's been 7+ years since we did this and this time around we'd like to get a few more upgrades.

Your list sounds great! We'd also love to do hardwood floors on the main floor and top landing, but I'm not convinced we'll be doing it through Mattamy. We'll see I guess...If anything, we'll wait a few years and do it aftermarket, but definitely getting the hardwood stairs, as this is something that is hard to do afterwards. I think we'll have to take a trip down to the design centre soon as well. Let us know who our kitchen supplier is...Frendel? or Cortina?/

The stairs are high on our list too, maybe hardwood in the 2nd floor hallway, some interior arches & the kitchen of course. We really want granite but may do it after, I think it will be a pain to coordinate & easier through Mattamy but more expensive too.
We were told that 14C had Frendel Kitchens.
No call for us yet. Hopefully next week.
It will be fun to see the prices & we can create our wish list over the holidays !!!

I know granite is much cheaper to do later, but I've read on this forum that Mattamy is quite competitive with quartz and they're actually the cheapest, so I think we're going to go with that as we wanted quartz anyway. How much is it in your book Amanda?

I just got a call from Mattamy and we booked our 1st design/structural appointment with Patricia for Jan. 19th! I'll be picking up our design book tomorrow! Yay...so exciting...until I see the prices tomorrow...lol
