Did anyone go with Superior Energy with a fixed Gas rate? We had a Salesman from this Company come in twice to our door but reluctant to sign....

Any feedback welcome......

The same guy came to our door 4 times in one month. He was nice enough but wouldn't leave the contract to review.

Natural gas rates may not jump as predicted. The two worst months (January and February) may see lower than anticpated heating costs.

Same with us... He would not leave the contract until we insisted and he did...Definately we want to do some background check and get some feedback before we sign anything....

I found the most effective response to be: "Sorry, I locked up already. Come back in 5 years and we'll discuss it."

You know what bothers me..i've had one individual in particular come to my door, and ask me to "see my gas bill". When i stated i wasn't confortable handing it over, they stated "they were here to make sure i was being billed correctly, andt hey they HAD to see the bill"...

at this point - I told him to get lost...very annoying when people are dishonest.

Andrew.

No matter they are for GAS or something else. The only appropriate treatment for them is how they manage it in “the Second Hand Lions”.
Another way to send them away is to say what this House is sold.
How GAS might be less expensive if you will buy it from them? They are not original provider, but you will pay for additional costs – like sales commissions for those morons, their boss salary and offices/advert expenses and so on. Are you really sure you are going to stay in the same house for five years?
I’m sure what after one year you will receive the letter – sorry, but this deal is closed due to the closing/sale of original company – here is the new deal (with new prices as well). So another Scam it is for sure.
This is not right anyway. Why some persons are able to buy huge amount of Gas from official provider and sell it for less to another person? Most of the companies like this are one person company with rotating sales reps working only for few days to find out what this is BS. Why the same deal is not possible at direct source.

One suggestion would be, when you drive up to your new house with the moving truck, plant a sign on the front porch with "NO SALESPEOPLE". Hopefully that will help..

Although the one security guy who came to my house, even though I had that sign, said he was a 'security consultant, not a sales person'. I yelled some expletives at him and told him next time he would be trespassing.

Here is one for you, we met bumped into some new neighbours a few weeks ago. We were just standing there talking and this lady in a red car came up and tried to sell us an ADT alarm system. We both do not close for 2 months and she tried to sell us!!!

I am tired of being polite, I like the sign idea on the lawn. Every time that door bell goes I know the dog and the kids will be set off and it takes them a while to settle back down.

I'm getting used to that few second pause while their computer system takes time to realize it has reached a live person and goes to pass it to a sales slave, so I hang up quickly.

I found that is the best way to do it. Although I have hung up on my niece a couple of times because she didn't answer quick enough after I said hello

You know what is worse then telemarketers????

Scotia Bank. I get a message on my machine,"Hello, this is the Scotia bank, please call us immediately for some very important information"

Then they leave an 800 number.

I call the number and said I was asked to call them. They asked for my account number, I said I do not deal with Scotia Bank, then they ask why am I calling them. I ask them why are they leaving messages on my machine to call them....

Long story short, my wife has an old account with them and the message was for her. So I waste 10 minutes, they waste 10 minutes, their phone system probably cost 500K and they could have had some minimum wage student call and leave a proper message.

Have you ever had to do a phone survey?? I did it. They wanted me to do a focus group $50 cash for an hour. They call me back 5 minutes later after accepting me and say I am not eligable and make up some reason. Now I get all this junk mail and phone solicitation based on the info I gave them. People call me and ask to do a survey, I ask if it is a paid survey (catches them off guard) they say no, then I say I only do paid surveys and hang up.

I am getting the gas from Supreme Energy. No, I did not sign with door to door sellers. I used www.energyshop.com and at that time Superior Energy was the best offer. I did everything online, no salesperson visited or called me.

Having said that, it is possible that more than one door to door salesmen from Superior Energy got the door slamed at their face.

Bump this thread.

I got a letter from these Superior Energy mofos asking me to "renew my contract." I have never signed any contract for gas in my 5+ years living in town. Anyone know how these clowns got my info and the last 4 letters of my Union gas account number (they spelled my name wrong too)?

Are they even affiliated with Union Gas?
