Try holding CTRL, ALT and then while holding those keys hitting the right arrow key. If the right arrow key does nothing try the up arrow key. You may have to hit the arrow key a few times before it returns to its normal position.

You'd be surprised how many times I get asked that. Cats seem to be the main culprit...or people cleaning their keyboards.

The CTRL/ALT/Right Arrow usually only works with Intel based Graphics. For ATI or NVIDIA Graphics you'd usually need to go into the Display Properties like fillerguy mentioned, either through the Control Panel or the icon in the System Tray.

I was at my folks place on Sunday and this happened to their computer. I rebooted once and it came back as soon as it booted into windows and then i pulled out my crackberry and typed into google 'windows xp screen upside down'
